Comment to Outside of as few Germans, I don't know allies that will do that.
It’s a strange world in which the ones who decide that spreading hate against Jews is a no-go are mainly Germans.
And actually one that inspires hope: it is possible for a society to go from being dominated by hate-mongering genocidal monsters to standing up against hate.
The path may be hard and long, but it is possible.
So that’s the flickering spark of hope I see in the suffocating smog of hate that’s rolling over too large parts of the world.
It was done so it can be done again. ????️
Though it would be much better not to first set the world afire but to stop hate early on.
Comment to AAA humiliated again.
Clair Obscure got lucky that Baldur’s Gate 3 showed gamers that they want round-based games. A difference between Indie companies and AAA companies is that Indie studios go broke more often. And "operate leaner, think smarter, and execute with laser focus" is like every bullshit CEO speech ever.
What’s missing: the numbers of EA are public (linked from Wikipedia): net revenue 7.5 billion (73% from life service), and 1.5 billion dividends and share buybacks. They give 20% of their income to shareholders instead of game development. That’s 20% of employees missing from development teams. They have 13000 employees, so with those dividends alone, they could staff Larian (450+ employees) five times.
